Took 4 hours to put the bed together by myself (27 year old woman). The instructions were pretty straightforward and everything was clearly labeled. It is very sturdy and high quality, no squeaking or wobbling. There was only one problem at the very last step. One of the balls wouldn’t screw in no matter what I tried but I was able to find a way around it. Overall, I highly recommend this bed, especially for the price. Very attractive much the color is much darker than advertised. More like a dark redwood. Very low profile but it’s exactly what I was looking for so I’m happy. I paid the extra 84 to have it assembled professionally . It was definitely worth the money and took him an hour. Instructions do say you need two people but he was able to do it alone. 4 stars bc a corner of headboard came damaged. Customer service took care of it immediately and refunded me 99 bc I didn’t have time to wait for a new one. Disappointing but it’s Actually hidden by bedding. I love the look - that said, you get what you pay for. It is not solid wood, but it has a solid presence. This is the brown tone. The faux wood is more of an ash brown than warm brown. The biggest disappointment is that the headboard is unfinished in the back. It is not an issue unless you have a plan of having the bed in the middle of the room with the back of the bee exposed. The other reviews noted it was a challenge to assemble so we opted for Wayfair to arrange assembly. (That move was worrh every penny!!!) The bed arrived in two massive rectangular boxes weighing 85 and 75 pounds. The assembly person moved the awkward to handle boxes up two flights of stairs and that itself was valuable! The build took about 2 hours. Best aspect of the bed besides the look (which is what I wanted) is that it is great for our dog that had a hard time jumping on our taller bed. Very sturdy. Goes together easy if you follow directions easily. Loving it.
