Let me start by saying this is a great bed for the money. That said, there are a few issues. The bed itself sits pretty low - meaning the headboard is pretty short and doesn't make any kind of impression. We purchased the king size bed and used the 11" feet vs. the 6" feet. We have a 12" memory foam mattress and do not use a foundation. The look with the 6" feet was a bit more of "dollhouse" feel and kind of comical in our room. And we have a small bedroom in an old cottage. We painted a strong accent wall behind the bed and added a large painting above the headboard to make more of an impression and we'll live with the bed for a while. We're used to a more substantial headboard but it's growing on us. Plus, I don't want to pay for the return shipping! The second issue is questioning the weight limit of the bed. It's listed at a maximum of 500 lbs. for a king size. Now, our mattress weighs 100 lbs. Then you add two grown people and occasionally a dog or two and you exceed that limit pretty quickly. We haven't seen any issues during the first week, but I do question that weight limit. My husband put the bed together and swears it appears pretty sturdy. But this is the first time I've seen a weight limit so low for a king sized bed? Typo? I hope so! Again, for the money its a great bed. Just make sure to measure the height of the headboard in your space. The height measurement listed its for the center point of the headboard.. Nictaysrq. Sarasota, FL. 2018-07-16 13:11:54
