The glass is thin so does not reflect the light in a pretty way when the bulb is on, it's almost like looking thru clear glass that's slightly dirty. It's nice when the lights are off. I replaced the original frosted glass shades with these, so it's definitely an improvement. I have found it difficult to get replacement shades for this type of fixture! These are working for now..
