What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. It feels great, I slept like a baby, it instantly helped with my lower back issues ( guess I needed a new mattress). If you are a side/stomach sleeper this will feel amazing! This is a medium to soft mattress which is the perfect firmness if you have hip or back pain. Nice amount of curve hugging, without feeling like you are sinking. Box arrived without damage in 3 days and it was just as I expected. I got the king size, so it was a 2 person job. We took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it up the steps, placed it on the existing box spring, and then followed the instructions. There are 2 plastic wraps. The mattress was folded in half, so we unfolded it, and cut off the second plastic wrap. It went from completely flat and too small to over 12" tall and perfect from corner to corner in less than one minute. This hybrid is replacing a less than a year old cool gel style 12" foam only mattress. We noticed an immediate difference from the gel to this hybrid. It feels much softer, more like a pillow top, but still with the edge firmness to be able to put socks and shoes on from the sides/end. There is a smell when unwrapping (not unpleasant), but it went away very quickly and after an hour it is not noticeable. I think this is very normal for the foam mattress styles. After sleeping uncomfortably on a gel mattress (another brand) we are excited to wake up without body aches! This is better than I had hoped, I will update this if it is anything less than 5 stars.. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. Mattress is really good, I had good night sleep on it. The firmness was the best because of my bad back I took this, I have to say that I am sleeping good on it. The ONLY BIG problem is that it has a smell to it we (me and my wife) kept the fan on the mattress for two days so the smell will fed but no success, first night it was so bad that gave both of us headache.. I purchased this mattress to replace a older memory foam that did not have the gel memory foam. It was 2:00 pm when it was delivered. I unpacked this mattress and put it on my bed. I know you are suppose to wait 24-48 hours for it to expand and decompress. The first night it felt very soft and I thought oh no. The next night it had firmed up and was absolutely perfect. I slept all night and didn't wake up hot or sweaty. The third night it was more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Do yourself a favor and purchase this mattress. Edit to update: I love this mattress and am updating my review from 4 to 5 stars. It is so comfortable. I'm not waking up to reposition in the night. No hip pain. I'm not having issues with being too hot or cold. I'm very happy with this mattress. This mattress came rolled up in a box. Unrolling it was easy. As soon as air got into the plastic, it started filling up and was full-size within a few minutes. It comes with a cover with a zipper, which is nice. I would say it's medium-soft. Super comfy mattress! We went with the twin size. The hardest battle was getting the box open! After that all you do is unroll and open the plastic and BOOM- you have a mattress! I was very surprised how quickly it popped up! My son says it’s the most comfy mattress he has ever laid on! We especially like the height! Not super firm, soft but not completely sinking in soft. Definitely the upgrade we were hoping for! Delivery was great as well- Wayfair was great and staying in contact. Showed up as planned- didn’t even have to be there! I highly recommend!. Brittney.
