These are sturdy and well made lecterns. I have purchase 5 of these over the past couple of years. I have also purchased several other VFI podiums. I believe they are a bit over-priced for what they are made out of (fiberboard with laminate), but they should prove to be durable over time. The multiple grommet locations are great for different cabling options. The doors on the front and back also are great for getting computer equipment installed. One thing that stands out is the height, which is not too high for "height-challenged" individuals. This lectern also includes a slide out keyboard/mouse shelf. The drawer/shelf seems to lack functionality based on the size and difficulty to access and see inside of it. Construction had some minor difficulty with having to force pieces to fit together. I was not disappointed in this podium it was exactly what I expected. It is sturdy and well made. I ordered the black and there were no surprises. It came assembled which was a huge plus.
