I didn’t get to see the mixer before I bought it and it is a lot larger and heavier that I expected compared to the old Hamilton Beach mixer I was replacing. Didn't really need a new mixer...but the prospect of it being quieter sold me on the idea. Last year's renovation, changing to an open concept design...now involves any noise made in the kitchen becoming a shared experience for those watching the TV in the family room...not always happily!! I've only used it once. My main complaint is with using the mixer while on the stand. The beaters don't go to the bottom of the bowl and you have to keep a close eye on the bowl when it starts spinning which kind of defeats the purpose. Its ok but could be improved.. Sara.
