The ceiling fan is absolutely beautiful! I was surprised that the globes on the lighting fixture are partly plastic. I would have given five stars if the entire lighting fixture had been glass. I love this fan! It is beautiful and exactly what I wanted for this space. The material of the blades is real wood, crafted into the shape of palm leaves. There are 5 blades in a light cherry (or medium brownish color). The blades make a relaxing tropical atmosphere. The lighting is beautiful with 4 glass frosted shade covers. This fan comes with 4 dimmable lights and a remote control. The lights can be dimmed with the remote, and the fan can be used separately from the lighting. There are 3 different speeds for the fan and the it is very quiet on any speed. It was easy to assemble and install this fan in place of the chandelier. It took about an hour for 2 people to assemble. Be careful to read instructions and look at pictures because some of the instructions parts came pre-assembled.
