To keep the mattress from shifting and make sure the sheets stay in place, they added an extra piece to the foot of the bed. This handy feature, which runs the entire width of the bed, is hidden from view when the mattress is in place. The drawer slides are made of metal for added support and a smoother back-and-forth motion. The drawer can hold up to 25 lbs.

The directions are pretty clear, but it was still a PRETTY difficult task! Use a good screwdriver because there is like 100 or more pieces you will have to screw in. Also, one of the side boards came cracked for me. All in all it looks good (kinda cheap), and it has a drawer, and it wasn’t a completely negative experience.. Miguel. Beautiful platform bed! Exactly what I was looking for. However, directions say not to use a drill. I ordered two. The first one took about 3 hours to put together with no drill.
