This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. I like this and I am small enough fit through the gate, but my elderly father has trouble with it and his caregiver has trouble fitting through it and opening and closing it. My dog is 15 pounds and can’t get out of it, so that is the best part. Perhaps my Dad’s caregiver will figure out how to open and close it.
