The quality of this light is very nice. It's of decent weight and is manufactured well, but the color is absolutely not "aged brass." It's a bright yellow-ish metal (the stock photo has been doctored). If you have other authentic brass items in your space - ones that have the tried and true brass patina - this will look like painted metal next to those items. In my opinion it looks like painted metal even when not next to other brass items. The color is brash and faux-looking - something you'd expect to see in a $100 chandelier but not at this price point. It's too bad; this is a round version of a popular higher-end retailer's brass chandelier that is stunning, but that one is only appropriate for a rectangle table. This one was exactly what we were looking for for a round table, but the color is a deal breaker. Hopefully they will correct the finish in future years' models.. Emily.
