I was a bit skeptical about a three blade fan but these Hunter fans do not disappoint! They operate very quietly and move a ton of air. I used the enclosed down rod and installed two of them in a large den (24x24’). The ceiling ht. is 12’. Very efficient in this space. My room design is transitional. These all black fans are perfect for the space. The fans are mounted to pecky cypress beams. I did need to use the enclosed balance weights on one of the fans which I attributed to mounting on the beam. I would recommend these fans if you have a modern or transitional design. Perfect if you do not need or want a fan with a light. I wasn’t sure about using a wall switch but I like using the switch. The switch allows you to adjust three speeds and to turn off. This fan is very sleek and will go well with just about any decor. I like the fact that it has non integrated dimmable light bulbs which are included! Smart features are clever and work well with the recommended apps. The remote is convenient, not very well made and other than smart devices, it is the only way to control the functions on the fan out of the box which is why I gave it 4 stars. This could be a techies dream but someone else’s nightmare! This fan DOES NOT work with 3rd party ceiling fan wall controls such as Lutron! There is a wall control switch by Hunter that is said to be compatible but requires batteries and paring with the built in transmitter in the smart fan and it retails for about 60. My husband connected it to a single wall switch that is all or nothing( fan and light on with settings previously set on remote) so I can at least turn on the light when I enter the dark room. We use the app and remote to control the functions. If you just want a nice looking fan that doesn’t require a techie to set up this is not the fan for you but if you are into smart features and are a techie, you’ll love it!. Dionne. Perfect for the spare bedroom. Runs almost silent. Installation was simple and the steps in the instructions were clear easy to follow. I have never installed a ceiling fan before. This fan is great. It looks good, works well, and is very quiet. The fan comes with two standard size LED bulbs that you can replace, unlike a lot of other fans which have integrated LEDs you can’t change out. I purchased the fan in white, and it instantly updated my room and made it look a lot more clean and modern (see before and after photos). I can’t speak to the ease of assembly because we had an electrician install the fan, but he was able to connect the fan/light to our normal wall light switch (in addition to the remote). I’ve had the fan for a month so far and really like it. You can dim the light using the remote, which is a nifty feature. The fan is our only light source in the room, and I find that the two LED bulbs provide sufficient lighting. The fan arrived promptly. It looks fan-tastic lol. Hunter makes a quality item and it shows. The fan runs quiet however as I’ve noticed with some other leds these lights emit a low hum and not easily dimmed with the existing remote.
