This fan is very sleek and will go well with just about any decor. I like the fact that it has non integrated dimmable light bulbs which are included! Smart features are clever and work well with the recommended apps. The remote is convenient, not very well made and other than smart devices, it is the only way to control the functions on the fan out of the box which is why I gave it 4 stars. This could be a techies dream but someone else’s nightmare! This fan DOES NOT work with 3rd party ceiling fan wall controls such as Lutron! There is a wall control switch by Hunter that is said to be compatible but requires batteries and paring with the built in transmitter in the smart fan and it retails for about 60. My husband connected it to a single wall switch that is all or nothing( fan and light on with settings previously set on remote) so I can at least turn on the light when I enter the dark room. We use the app and remote to control the functions. If you just want a nice looking fan that doesn’t require a techie to set up this is not the fan for you but if you are into smart features and are a techie, you’ll love it!. Dionne. We installed on a 4 foot extension rod due to 16ft high ceilings and our electrician said it's a very nice fan because he does not see many that can be installed on a pole that long and not wobble when its running. He said it didn't need balancing at all. We have had Hunter fans in all our homes and they are all very high quality. We rounded out the installation with a Lutron Caseta fan smart control switch. (PD-FSQN-WH) to control the fan speed & on/off by voice or PICO remote. This is in our pool house so the voice control helps to make sure everything is off remotely from the main house after the kids come in for dinner. Works great. . Jim. I was a bit skeptical about a three blade fan but these Hunter fans do not disappoint! They operate very quietly and move a ton of air. I used the enclosed down rod and installed two of them in a large den (24x24’). The ceiling ht. is 12’. Very efficient in this space. My room design is transitional. These all black fans are perfect for the space. The fans are mounted to pecky cypress beams. I did need to use the enclosed balance weights on one of the fans which I attributed to mounting on the beam. I would recommend these fans if you have a modern or transitional design. Perfect if you do not need or want a fan with a light. I wasn’t sure about using a wall switch but I like using the switch. The switch allows you to adjust three speeds and to turn off.
