I was not satisfied with this product. I ordered the white version and when it arrived both parts of the handrail were smudged with black markings that would not wash off and they both had gouges in the plastic surface that you could easily feel. We were having a open house over the weekend so I had to make these work if I could so I took steel wool and managed to get the black marks off so that one of the two rails could be used. It only had one gouge in the plastic which I was able to turn to the bottom so it wasn't so noticeable. I would not have bothered to write a negative review for just these problems because they could have just been a one time issue, but when I mounted the brackets to the wall, I discovered that they provide tapered screws but don't countersink the mounting brackets so the screws will not seat in the mounts. They stick out about a 1/4" and look shabby. Most people will not notice that, but it is a bad engineering design. On the positive side, the rail is solid and well constructed and the brackets are made of good quality heavy duty steel. It is an attractive design. If you get a shipment that is not damaged, and you don't mind the ill fitting screws you should be pleased with the product.. Richard. Norman, OK. 2023-03-14 13:50:14
