It is sturdy, and works for what we need. A few things I wish I knew before I purchased this is that it does require a bracket to install on a post you own. The maker sells posts that works with this box with out the bracket. We also had to add wood to our post to accommodate the lip the mailbox has underneath.. Georgette.
