I wasn’t sure at first but once I tried these bulbs I was hooked. They do have a standard E26 medium standard screw in base.as seen in picture brightness is great even at 8.5 watts. The bulbs arrived well-packaged and protected. They are a bit smaller than I'd expected (see picture in my hand) but do light up a room brightly. I tried them in a lamp simply because my lights that are wired to dimming switches are all up high on my lofted ceiling and I'd need to bother my husband to get it in! They do not heat up to the touch as much as a regular bulb which is also nice. I'm pleased with this product and can recommend it to buyers. As you can see from the picture they provide about the same light as a 75 watt bulb does, and the light is a soft white, not blue or dull yellow (which I hate! ). Marlene.
