This was the third board I bought to replace a very, very old board from the 40's. First was the same kind but wider. Didn't work on pants. Second one was so light my cat jumped on the board in front of the TV and knocked the board over. Iron into TV. No more TV. Third time was the charm. Heavy enough put narrow enough to do pants. The instructions were easy to follow, I outlined all measurements, prepped the cabinet and the next day we finished the install. It was a nice tight fit, all pieces were used, which is always a good thing. Somehow I always end up with extra screws. The only hang up was that when I looked down the inside of the wall I noticed we had electrical running right through where my outline was. So we adjusted the cabinet and moved it a little higher to not interrupt the electric. Its higher that the instructions but it still works. Just beware of possible wires once you open the wall up. Very sturdy, love the wide board, quiet when moving to up and down position. Noticed the ironing board cover (beige) which looks like a fine burlap material had little black dots coming to the surface, but it did not transfer to the white blouse being ironed.
