We were skeptical when we decided to order this set of plates. They looked very nice in the photographs online, but one can never be sure how an item will be in person. We were very pleasantly surprised when the package arrived and we were able to see them first hand. These are not thin, cheap plates that feel cheap. These plates have the look and feel of high quality dinnerware, and have some but have some weight to them. The beautiful hand painted blue designs are perfect for use with our Polish pottery and will work well with any items you may have with a hand painted design, or with anything that has a Delft blue pattern. If you do not have any items such as these, do not despair – they work perfectly on their own. After several washings in the dishwasher we see no decay in the color or the protective finish.
They also work great in the Microwave! We like to use them as desert plates, warming a small piece of pie to eat after dinner or as a mid afternoon snack. They are great for that!
