We needed relief from the hot sun on our paved patio. First we tried a cantilever umbrella, but it twisted and rocked on gusty days, despite being anchored. Then we explored the option of a custom louvered pergola, but the price was in the tens of thousands. So I was looking at gazebos, and the extra awnings of this one would be useful. It arrived in only a week. Everything was in perfect condition, nothing missing, in 1 box, 7" x 17 1/2" x 17'. I think the description said it would take 2-3 days to construct, but my husband did it, start to finish, in exactly 4 hrs. Each piece is marked, and the instructions are pictoral, so its very simple. The 2 included awnings can be attached to any of the 4 sides, and easily moved to other sides if/when needed. Although it's much sturdier than the pop-up gazebos commonly seen at beaces and flea markets, it cannot be trusted to remain in place without added weights. We bought weight bags that hold 50# of sand/rocks for each leg, and now we don't expect it to move if a sudden wind comes up. Part of the description lists it as 11' x 11', in another place it says it's 10' x 10'. We were hoping it was bigger, but it is only 10' x 10'. I deducted a star in the rating because of that. The metal parts are a very dark bronze, not black. The fabric does a good job of blocking out the sun, and although it doesn't claim to be waterproof, we stood under it, dry, tonight while it rained. This was the second replacement canopy. The first did not fit. It was 4 " short on each side. The second, the cupola did not fit. I had to use the original. The reason I'm not giving this a 5 is because of the word "permanent" used to describe the gazebo. When the instructions arrived, on the back page is states that the unit is only for decorative, sunshade use only...not meant to withstand any element of weather. The steel supports are a little light-weight...but very good for the money spent. Too, the stakes are very small, light-weight metal. I purchased some heavy-duty tent stakes to replace them. The "S" clams doesn't stay in place, a strip of very heavy-duty tape secured them. For the positive, the gazebo is very easy to put together, no screws needed. Despite the fact that the sap dripping from our mesquite tree shows right through, we're giving this 5 stars. It only took about 30, maybe 45, minutes to install, and that was because Husband-man did it by himself because I do not do ladders. It's in a semi-sheltered area of the yard, so it won't be under the direct Arizona summer sun, so it should last a while. I am going to create a drape to put up in the ceiling because I don't like the drips, but that's not the canopy's fault. (Happily, we were able to find a spray paint that almost exactly matched the canopy - Rustoleum shell white - so we could repaint the frame; you can see that better in the evening pic than in the drips-on-the-roof pic.) We have set up our gazebo, and everything went smooth until we tried to put on the canopy. However, we couldn't get the canopy to reach the end of all parts C & E (the roof structure). When I tried to pull over the ends of these parts, the stitches started to pop loose. There were no instructions on this part of the assembly.
