1st of all...this is a HEAVY sofa. It took 3 men to have it brought in from the entry way to my upstairs office. Also, make sure you measure your doorways and do a double/triple check before you order. I did not do that and found that the sofa wouldn't fit through the door. I had to remove the feet and take off the door in order to get the sofa into the room. It was awful, but once I got it in the office, I was very happy with this purchase. The sofa is super comfortable. We haven't tried the bed yet, so I don't know whether it's comfortable or not. Well made super comfortable queen size sleeper sofa! I’m a 66 year old woman with a history of back problems, I managed to assemble this myself with minimal trouble... it’s a lot heavier than some of the reviews had led me to believe, but I got the job done in less and than an hour (including unboxing sliding it down the hall into the spare room using felt wood floor sliders) The back folds down flat easily without having to pull out the couch more than a few inches from the wall, and the only minor “con” I can think of I wish there was a mid-reclining option between the single one provided and the uprightflat position it’s a wee bit TOO inclined for my taste, but nothing a few throw pillows can’t remedy. Big plus I have long legs like the deep seat cushions on the couch, and the pop up trundle makes a fantastic lounger! ) The queen mattress is REALLY FIRM, so I bought a thick fluffy mattress cover to cushion it a bit for guests one side is cotton for summer, and the other is faux-wool plush for winter, which should make this the world’s most comfortable guest bed - EVER! The photos show the space behind the sofa in the reclining upright positions (the one with my little dog, Fergie, is of the sofa in the reclining position) The space in back of the sofa isn’t noticeable from the front, and actually leaves room for curtains to hang nicely. Finally, to add a cozy touch ( keep off pet hairs), I threw on an easy-to-wash cotton bedspread — there are so many different looksoptions for this wonderful sofa bed.... The cushions are firm but cozy. Removed one from the back cushions, centered, and then added different sized feather pillows to the sides to make even more cozy. Fairly large but perfect for two adults. Also, the sofa bed is pretty comfortable. Could add a mattress pad for more support. The reason this is four stars is due to the fabric. Selected the “Jenny Gunmetal” which is sort of like a bouclé woven material. There were several threads of fabric that had to be trimmed. Would imagine if you let pets on your furniture it would pull really easily. For that reason wouldn’t recommend if you have pets or small kids. Otherwise it’s great!. Jacqueline. I love this sofa. It's perfect for our smaller living room and it still has 3 pillows so it looks full size. I researched this furniture company and they supply furniture for hotels so I'm pretty confident that this couch will hold up in our rental.
