These are awkward to grip and quite heavy—they feel very different from any other flatware. The handles don't bend at the neck, so I feel like I have to scoop up food like a toddler. Their distinctive, rustic look is more inelegant in-person than I expected (e.g., the square design at the bottom of the fork tines makes it look like they were stamped out of sheet metal). On the positive side, there are no burs and they are well-finished. If you want traditional, this is not for you. But, if you want something fun that doesn’t feel cheap, this works. To avoid rusting, they’ll need to be hand washed and dried. Also, a pet-peeve: they are shipped in a soft plastic envelope, so the product box gets totally crushed in transit.
