Customer service, packaging and delivery was excellent. Item looks like the photo, but had slightly more distressing than I anticipated. It was hard to find a light colored console in the right size, so I'm happy with it. Here is some really useful information to know though. The item is VERY heavy. We had it delivered inside the front door. Trying to get it up stairs, with a turn at the landing took four strong adults, and it was still difficult. If you just have a short distance on one level you could move it with two strong people, but otherwise, pay for the full delivery to your room. The second issue has to do with the shelves. All the shelves are screwed tightly into their positions. You need a 3" tall Phillips head screwdriver to move any of the shelves. And the screws are very tight, so you need someone with a lot of strength to remove them without stripping the screws. Also know that the cord holes are on the bottom shelves in each section. The shelves on both sides of the console have about an inch of room behind them to pull up your cords without moving the shelves. But the middle section top shelf fit tightly against the back, so there was no way to put anything with cords there. If you unscrew the shelf, you could put a very narrow cord behind it, but then the shelf won't sit flush with the lower shelf. The best option if you want components in the middle section is to use them just on the lower shelf. I have thin components, so I was able to put mine on the bottom shelf and then move the shelf above it down a space so the top shelf is more useable for something else the doesn't need cords.. Karen.
