It includes a hearth surround to fully enclose the existing fireplace and is equipped with a spring-loaded automatic adjustment making installation a breeze. The Ashley AW1820E model replaces the previous Vogelzang model TR004 Colonial fireplace insert and the US Stove Company model 2200IE insert. Really happy with this purchase; would recommend. The good: heats very efficiently. Once it gets going well, I put about one log in per hour if I have it turned to "high" for airflow and it heats the living room all day in Michigan winter; the room being approx 450' sq. The blower circulates air up from the bottom, around the stove and out the top so it projects the heat quite well. We have another fireplace off the same chimney in the adjoining room. That fireplace will consume in about 3 hours the amount of wood this stove consumes in a day, generating far less usable heat than the stove and about 4 times as much ash. The stove also looks good. The not-as-great: included screws to attach the blower are sheet metal type and at least one size too large. There is no way those things would screw in at all. I got some the next size down at the local hardware. One of those fit ok, the other still would not go in. I had some spare stainless steel ones lying around and found one that worked. But really the metal is just too thick for sheet metal screws to be a good solution here. They should be tapped for machine screws. That would hold the blower more securely. Sometimes also, the blower fan will vibrate a bit. I'll probably wind up taking it apart at some point to see if I can dampen that better. When it happens I just push on the front cover a bit, which works sometimes. Sometimes I turn the fan speed down and then slowly back up to where I want it. It can be a little bit high-pitched when running at high speed. I think that could be a problem for some people. If so, just know that you'll want to turn the fan down and get a bit less heat. It doesn't bother me much except when it starts vibrating.. Palmer Eldritch. East Lansing, MI. 2021-03-06 15:27:39

I LOVE THIS STOVE!!!! Ok so first the boring stuff but stuff you need to know, ha! It is for natural gas (top) and it is an electric oven but it came with propane gas conversion for the burners. When we had our propane line brought in all we had to do was have the stove put together and ready to hook up to the line (btw my husband ran the line from the inside to the exterior--something else if you've never had experience with this) and then they actually tested the stove and made sure it was working when they tested the line--so there's your professional installation. There are several cooking settings and you have to choose one. I am still learning what each one does but so far everything I've made in this oven has turned out really nice --like baked goods are nice and puffy and casseroles cook very evenly. This is a very high end stove and if you like to cook this is really an amazing deal. I bought this when it was on sale and honestly it was my favorite purchase for our total home remodel. Everyone loves it! Its really adorable but super functional. Ok so a quick couple of other things. There aren't any electronic features so no timer, clock or beeping to let you know when your oven is preheated etc. All of these things make no difference to me but might be a bigger deal to someone else. In my mind its one less thing that will break. The look of it is really nice and its a solid stove. I've never been in love with a stove until now. I was going for an English cottage type of feel to my kitchen and this really does it!. Nichole. Clinton, MO. 2019-12-29 15:15:07
