We just purchased 6 of these. They appear to be very sturdy, easily holding my 260-pound weight. The seat is definitely on the firm side and low to the ground, but for a dining chair this works for well. Being a large person, I was also happy to see the armrests were over an inch on each side of me, so these chairs are large enough for almost anyone! The armrests are thin and hard like they appear, but I do not consider this a bad thing for a dining chair since they appear strong, and their thinness still provides extra support while keeping the middle roomy. An added bonus is the material looks easy to clean and while the padding is firm, it also looks thick and durable, just like the rest of the chair.
