After reading the reviews and doing research I went with the professional because I do make a lot of bread and the larger motor handles thicker mixes better. My daughter made bread with dough on the dry side. I'm positive we would have probably burnt the motor of an artisan mixer. This beast powered through like a champ. I used to have an earlier version of this attachment that worked really well at shredding cheese and not nearly so well at slicing vegetables. That one fed at an angle from the side. I was hoping that this one with a top feed tube would work better, but I’m disappointed. The zucchini sliced nicely, but the mushrooms were more shredded than sliced. Broccoli stems were shredded until I turned the speed up a few notches. I’ll keep this because it’s better than nothing when I’m trying to slice up vegetables for soup or veggie pizza, but the results will never be very pretty.
