Never thought a drawer organizer could look so good and make me so very happy!! This 55 knife organizer is HUGE and VERY heavy!! It’s solid maple and smooth! Must have a light lacquer or something rubbed into the wood I think. It’s way past superbly made! My sweetie said it was easy to trim down to fit my drawers. I’m having my kitchen countertops and backsplash done for first time in my life, and these rev-a-shelf maple organizers are PERFECT!! I did have to turn this knife organizer sideways so it would fit (and not have make 2 cuts and not to have a knife slot cut off) but I actually prefer it sideways, as it makes it easier to grab the knives. My drawers are standard size (about 18-3/4 deep x 17-1/4 wide x 3-1/4” high). My sweetie trimmed the end off perfectly, and it doesn’t slide around at ALL! It looks like a custom built, fancy drawer! Even with the difference of 1/4” on the depth, (my drawers are 18-3/4 deep and knife organizer was 18-1/2” with the way I put this knife organizer in sideways), it doesn’t slide from front to back at all because it fits like a glove from side to side! Also I can’t even see the little tiny 1/4” space as it is at the very back of my drawer. It was worth every penny I paid! Thanks to wayfair for having such a great product and for all the superb service I get from Wayfair! I’m attaching pics to hopefully help someone else in making up their minds. I ordered this knife organizer unaware that you can cut it to the size you need. I am pretty sure the instructions are trying to show a photo of a table saw to cut it, which I do not have, but never knew that was even an option when ordering it. I live in a coop which has small cabinets and limited counter space so in order to take my wusthof knives out of there knife blocks I puchased this to keep them safe in the draw. My cabinets are all very narrow, but I had one that was built as a double, so I removed the divider and placed this in sideways rather than vertical for it to fit perfectly. I took many pictures to show the way in which I had to place it to use it. I am a huge fan of rev a shelf, owning there cabinet pull out sliding shelves for the lower cabinets and there items do not disappoint, they are built strong and meant to last for years. the quality and workmanship is far beyond the competition designs that try to offer the same organization for the home. I dont think anyone would be disappointed with this item. The reason it is getting four stars rather than 5 is due to the fact that some of the knives tilt in it which if I did not have the piece of wood divider from the draw to place under the handles of the knives it might of been an issue, I like and need the knives to be held evenly not to damage the blades or to hit when pulling the draws opened. thank you and please see photo’s below. I was initially frustrated by the lack of information on this item. There were no dimensions to be found in the description or details pages and I posted a question asking for dimensions and a wayfair representative responded with the Height of the block. This information was already on the description, not to mention that I requested Length & Width! I was really hesitant to purchase this because my knife drawer is very narrow 9 5/8" and I was afraid this would be too wide to fit. Needless to say, I took the plunge and figured if it didn't fit I would simply return it. I'm really happy I decided to buy it because it was an ALMOST PERFECT FIT! Anyone who is wondering the dimensions are on the label (photo added to this review) 17" Length x 8.9" Width x 1.9" Height/Depth. This is a really nice knife block, sturdy and beautiful. While somewhat overpriced (it is just pegs and a piece of wood with holes after all!), I am really pleased with this purchase. The pegs are more substantial than I expected. You have to be prepared to cut the board to size with a table saw (or skill saw/jig saw) to properly fit the drawer. I lucked out by getting this for less money after it had been returned - I suspect for that reason. While there are a lot of pegs included, I would have liked to have been able to purchase extra pegs, but regardless I would definitely purchase this drawer organizer again. I was originally going to create a DIY organizer, but it would not have been the same - this peg board is quite thick and the pegs are nicely tapered at the bottom.. Tracy.
