Thank Goodness that I can add a filter to the water tank. It helps and taste great when I have the filter added due to us having well water. I love this keurig, it's perfect if I just need a single cup or if I have a house full and need an entire pot of coffee. I am only giving it 3 stars, because I was disappointed that it didn't come with the filter or even the holder the filter go in. Its a great Keurig model! I love the hot and cold options, the cup size variables, and how quickly it gets me coffee. There is no assembly, other than putting together the normal parts you would use to make a cup of coffee anyways. Wayfair had a great deal on this during their Way Day sale and am very glad to have picked it up then. I have been using the old model for seven years.. got this as a nice gift to self and almost didn’t buy them because of some of the reviews. This is like caviar to the one I gad .. very little noise , easy clean ups and less fruits and vegetables.. that old juicer were eating up my fruits etc. I don’t know why people complaining about the clean up .. you used it you gave to cleaned it until you you want cross contamination.And please wash it before you used it ;it still smells like the factory but is fine once it’s wash.. the trash bin is huge.. just wish the catch container were bigger but I set another container that can hold enough for the hubby and I.This is well worth the price, assembly is easy as 123. I didn’t insured it didn’t worth the money in my opinion.i usually shopby reviews but it’s always so hard because usually it’s so hard when people don’t get to the real point and purpose of the products. This was my first Keurig purchase. I have only used traditional drip coffeemakers in the past. Being the only one who drinks coffee in the house I had to brew a small amount and reheat leftovers (not recommended as it changes the flavor and doesn't hold heat for very long). I received my Keurig yesterday and it was like I was a kid in a candy store. I had picked up different flavors and varieties and think I made 5 cups from 1 PM until a couple of hours before sleep. This may get expensive so I have ordered Eco-Fill cups that I can fill myself. The thing I loved is it was packaged so well and taped up everywhere. I think it took me 15 minutes just to remove all the tape. The instructions had me rinse out the reservoir and perform a test run to rinse out any dust or residue. I did it twice to make sure. I'm definitely beating myself up on taking so long to finally try a Keurig. I drink my coffee strong so I thought it would be too weak but the 6-8-10 oz buttons allow me to brew a 6 oz size which is nice and strong. I read many reviews that had me worried after I ordered it, so I saved the box in case I had to return it. But so far, I have not had any of the negative issues that other readers posted. Contrary to what I read, I did not find this machine to be too loud. It heats water to a hot temperature. My son used a hot cocoa pod and he had to wait for it to cook down a bit , because he was too lazy to just add a little milk to it to help it cool down. This machine yields out EXACTLY the same amount of liquid as what I put in it (yes I used a measuring cup just to make sure) and as far as the too weak or too strong of a brew...I tried different flavored pods, and they were true to the flavor of the pods that I brewed...the medium or light.... brewed light, the dark ones brewed a dark strong brew, and it yielded the same amount as the water that I put in....so my conclusion would have to be that other consumers k-pods maybe we’re not the right flavor for them....maybe switch to a light roast or a dark roast k-pod depending on your taste. So far, no issues with it, and perfect for my needs. I hope this review helps others who are reading the negative reviews, I try to be honest, and factual with any reviews I leave, since I also depend on other readers reviews to make my purchases..
