I absolutely love these couchsofa covers. However according to the package they may be used for other things such as picnic blankets, a throw for the couch and many other uses. I like the texture and thickness of the slipcover. Not super thick, but thicker than most of the other product photos I looked at. Very easy setup, arrived as described. I was trying to match as close to our current sofa color to avoid a drastic look. I also purchased separately slipcover straps to help the chaise rectangle shape conform to the lip of our chaise cushion which is not completely rectangle shape. The only thing I didn't consider with these black velvet box cushion texture is I can see every little piece of lint from our off-white carpet and the red short-hair of our dog. But the product lived up to its description. In the photos, the arm rest is dark navy blue I was trying to match. The black blends in better than I thought. I liked the idea of these blankets to cover my couches, so when my dogs lay on the couches they would not dirty the slip covers. However, my dogs play in a lot of dust and dirt. This is an absolutely great sectional. It was so easy to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow and I did it alone and took less than an hour. The material is nice and appears it will be very durable. The color is a soft gray and really opens my room. I ordered ivory, it actually works on my chairs well. Ivory is doing a good job of hiding the dark brown color and busy print of the chairs, it's not showing through. My chairs are also a little awkward to cover since they are like the picture but part of the top 6" of the chair back is wood, not fabric. I especially like the banding at the bottom which seems to be doing a great job of holding the fabric in place on the chair. I like the texture of the cover, especially in ivory, because it looks much nicer than just plain covers. I suspect this cover in a color would be very nice, maybe nicer than ivory but I needed that color. In the end they are covers but they are doing a great job of toning down the original chair fabric which no longer work with the room.
