This pad is textured on one side to help it from moving under the rug which is nice. It was a little big for my rug but easy to cut to size with heavy duty shears. This is a solid choice for non slip traction. One side has a rubberized coating and the flipped side is a felted pad. It has far more heft than traditional, waffle weave, non-slip pads and provides superior traction. The rug rests solidly on the felted side of the pad with no bunching or sliding around.
