Wayfair delivered again. Exactly as pictured. Go slow and examine each piece while assembling. I made 2 errors (as usual) caught error as I always review next step to make the next step makes sense for final product. 2nd error was back panel… even tho it is clearly marked this end up it had the company name etc and I missed it as just a label. 50/50 chance and I didn’t luck out but it was a simple fix. As usual the pictures r ur only guide … no words. Definitely a tipping hazard. Will need to do the tipping hazard assembly too. Can’t beat the price. Ladies don’t be shy. I’m 64 YO chick.. Leeanne. I ordered this desk as well as two matching file cabinets to complete an office space for myself. The box arrived with a few exterior dings and tears but the interior was so well packed that not a single piece was damaged. Instead of styrofoam, all components were surrounded by honeycomb cardboard. And because of this choice by the manufacturer, I was able to recycle nearly every piece of the box, inside and out. The installation manual was easy to follow for the most part. A couple of pictures were a little confusing but were quickly figured out. I took my time with the installation and only needed some help lifting the desktop into place. Assembled, the desk weighs nearly 90 pounds! The finished result is very beautiful. It’s never been easier to be elegant with the Colchester writing desk. Crafted of poplar and rubberwood solids with white oak and birch veneers, this piece features an antique white finish with heavy chipping and distressing with a weathered brown top with whitewash.
