Purchased this to insulate the bedroom (live in townhouse and kids next door are kids) and to provide an accent wall. It certainly minimized noise 100% and added character to the space. We installed ourselves, had to use nails and glue. Measuring has to be done carefully, particularly when coming to the end of the wall, to make sure you include the space needed for the lip. Cut panels outside (open environment) and wear a mask and glasses when cutting the panels as the dust from the material easily gets on everything. I am very pleased with the choice. Otherwise, half the panels arrived cracked or chipped. Wayfair customer service was wonderful and quickly replaced the damaged panels. Carefully review them before installing.. E. I’m giving the stones 5 stars, however the delivery process from Wayfair gets a 3, barely. We waited almost 2 months for these stones to arrive. Wayfair needs to figure out an expedited shipping process for their customers who have been waiting more than 30 days for a product. Although we got a credit, the whole process was super annoying!. We chose this for the color as it was the best match to what we wanted to do with the stone we are placing. Plus it states it can take the heat which is a great bonus. Although hanging at the correct distances away from the heat it gives an added security it won't get overly hot. The mantle has striations/lines within and not a uniform color which I really like it (see photo of mantle side) and it adds to the overall look. Great quality, easy to hang and light weight while looking substantial. I have enclosed a photo of the stone we are using although we have not started that project yet. Absolutely beautiful stone. I tiled a wall behind a bathtub and it does great getting wet. I also tiled a center fire place wall and it’s a beautiful natural stone look.
