Mattress is really good, I had good night sleep on it. The firmness was the best because of my bad back I took this, I have to say that I am sleeping good on it. The ONLY BIG problem is that it has a smell to it we (me and my wife) kept the fan on the mattress for two days so the smell will fed but no success, first night it was so bad that gave both of us headache.. Nice mattress neatly packaged which makes for easy maneuvering. It’s been a couple of days and mattress hasn’t fully reached its maximum stature. It’s firm but comfortable. This bed is amazing. I am undoing years of lumbar and cervical damage caused by a daily sedentary office reality. The mattress is firm. I wouldn't say xtra firm. I've slept on firmer at upscale b&bs/hotels but it gives you a good nights sleep. It's gorgeous (I have a studio so aesthetics are important). You will need deep fitted sheets. Prior to this mattress, I had the Wayfair Sleep Plush 13" mattress. I loved it. I decided to try a firmer mattress and this is definitely firmer. I would say I preferred my previous mattress based on the medium-softness of it. This one is very very firm. However, after a week, it has gotten more comfortable. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. Its the first night opened it up very little odder and it is firm I was very unsure of buying a mattress online it took me days at a store to find just the right one well it was time for a new mattress and I started looking at different stores and online . Well I went though all the reviews and still took days put them in basket took them out of basket LOL. Very hard to know what your getting so I want to thank the people that wrote their reviews. I have spent hundreds to thousands on mattress's and you no at the end still a bed. Well I went for it I never write reviews but because you [ HELPED } Me the reviews were mixed but the majority were right on. The mattress is firm to very firm seem like it will last. Fast shipment and again I have not really talked about the price but I have been to some local stores and you would never find a mattress like this for under 500.00 and if you cover the price and name this would have made it to one of the finals I do not work for wayfair I'm not a review person just very happy and I can not believe the price their were some that looked better but the reviews were bad and again this is very firm I read some reviews that this was firm to soft but this one is firm very firm And a great price wow.
