I was looking for a chocolate and light blue comforter set. The colors in this comforter matched perfectly. I was impressed with price, noticing other places had this exact comforter priced at $450.00. The comforter is thick and comfortable. I was worried that the sheets would be stiff, but they feel close to my 600 thread sheets. Also, the four larger shams really add to the set, but you have to provide your own pillows of course. This 4-piece set appears majestic and conveys the elegance one may find in a high-end establishment. The chenille damask jacquard is composed of shimmery gold, red/burgundy and brown tones which add to the luxurious sensation of this set. The golden bed skirt has kick box pleats which further adds to the royal feel of this set as well as the thick, gold roping surrounding this thick comforter. The coordinating, flanged shams also have this roping to complete the appearance and consist of a hidden zipper closure which further depicts how sophisticated this set is. Aside from its aesthetic qualities, it fits our 1-foot-thick queen mattress very well and is comfortable and warm. My wife said the only thing that this set is missing are decorative pillows to add more character to our dressed bed.
