Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut, and copper foil is wrapped around each piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit.

Nice and tall lamp, gives a warm glow and the stained glass looks good with the light on and off. Easy to assemble, just twirl the rod pieces into each and the base and you're done, no drilling or screws required. One thing to consider is that the on/off button is closer to the outlet plug than it is to the lamp's base, so depending on how far away the outlet is that you're plugging it into, the foot switch might not be in an ideal position.
