Wife and I decided to replace the generic plastic mailbox with something that matched our home. This was the perfect solution for us! The mailbox is extremely solid, not like the sheet metal mailboxes that the big boxes offer. Mailbox was also very easy to assemble. Most difficult part was digging the hole. Previous owner only had the post down 18" or so, which explained why it was so wobbly. I didn't want to set the post in concrete in case a snow plow driver decided to take it out and I would need to replace it at some point. So, I decided to set the post down 42" and just repack with dirt, which worked out great. However, once I started digging, I quickly discovered why the previous owner stopped at 18"!
