It's a beautiful painting [and print] with the white mat - mat also has a pastel yellow inlay (believe that's what it's called....). My ONLY reason for 4 stars and problem is, just wish the frame was solid wood, instead of the light-wight metal AND also, for the frame color to be a shade of brown. Black and sliver frame are just okay with this painting - it needs to be more natural, in tune with nature. The frame also has Pixel glass, instead of real glass and the back cover is just a plain ole' craft paper. Overall, it's still beautiful, but the frame is lacking.
