I actually received a different bed than the one I ordered but did not realize this until after my husband had already put the bed together. I am not sure how I missed that! The bed we received is actually the same brand, Mellow, but I guess its the KERA bed with a gray headboard and white metal framing. The bed is sturdy and very nice and cute although obviously not what I expected. There are velcro slats to keep in attached the frame and two sticky spots on the slats to keep the mattress from moving. It was very easy to install. I do wish the headboard was adjustable so I can raise it up as you can no longer see it after we put pillows on the bed. Overall, very cute for our guest bedroom. Edit: Wayfair sent the original bed that I was supposed to receive it and its beautiful! The headboard is nice to have for items that usually you put on your nightstand or the floor such as your cell phone. Its very sturdy. Super easy to put together. We got this bed for our teenage son's room. I was initially looking for a bookcase headboard type of bed, but they can be too big/bulky and expensive...I couldn't find one that I liked that fit our needs and would fit in his room. He wanted to be able to put his alarm clock, book and whatnot right by his head so he could easily reach stuff. This turned out great since there's a small ledge as part of the headboard. The ledge is narrow enough to clip a desk lamp (clip-mount style) to the headboard. We have a 14" memory foam mattress on it, so it sits pretty high, but we liked that it was roomy underneath (11" from the metal frame to the floor).
