Easy assembly, but it’s a lot of Allen screws and brackets with a few bolts. I’m single, and I unboxed (2 boxes) this alone, and was able to assemble the bed on less than 2 hours, and maybe another 45 min on the trundle another day. The quality appears to be excellent. I bought an 8” mattress from amazon and it fits fine on the top, but you will need 5-6” trundle mattress, 8” is too big for bottom. I’m glad I only got one mattress to try on both first.
