Metal Bed Without Footboard

This platform bed updates your home with a vintage-inspired look that blends seamlessly into any traditional or farmhouse setup. Constructed from steel, it features a slatted headboard and footboard that introduce an airy, open profile to your arrangement. Center support legs work alongside the perimeter frame to deliver a stable sleeping foundation that handles everyday use smoothly. Because the system includes its own steel slats, your mattress rests directly on the base to simplify your setup. Plus, it features an adjustable headboard height so you can easily customize the clearance to suit your specific mattress thickness.

The bed frame is simple but quite pretty and sturdy. The low profile footboard doesn’t cut into a small room - helps to keep it open. And there are two height choices. The taller choice allows for a nice space underneath for storage. The only thing I worry about is the plastic spacers that keep the crossbars for the platform in place. If a person needed to take the bed apart for any reason, I would worry that those spacers would wear out.. Michele. Harlingen, TX. Fri May 15 2026

Round out your bedroom with this platform bed's modern take on a classic silhouette. Crafted from stainless steel in a neutral finish, this bed features a platform construction to elevate your mattress. Rounded tubular metal frames with thin slats and circular finials on the headboard and footboard are in a style that takes inspiration from vintage bed frames. With a 10'' under-bed clearance, you have plenty of space to store seasonal clothing, extra shoes, and guest bedding. Plus, 13 slats and center support remove the need for a box spring and reduce bulk for a streamlined look. Vintage design with a sturdy metal frame that features simple, classic lines.

Very easy to assemble and looks perfect!!! I love it. Bethany. Mon Sep 28 2026

This iron platform bed delivers a classic, industrial-inspired look to your space with its streamlined metal construction. The headboard and footboard showcase vertical spindles with rounded finials, creating a balanced design that feels both airy and grounded. Since it's designed with a built-in slat kit, you can place your mattress directly on the frame without needing a box spring. The open design allows for plenty of under-bed storage to keep extra bedding or bins neatly tucked away. Plus, the center support legs provide added stability for a restful night's sleep.

Slime profile, easy to put together. Looks and feels high end we bought a King for our guest space and it fits perfectly.. Anna. Lolo, MT. Mon Oct 05 2026

The headboard of this bed frame is defined by its smooth, flowing lines, designed to align with contemporary aesthetics and seamlessly integrate into any bedroom decor. The frame itself is crafted from metal with a matte finish, offering not only a sleek, modern look but also effective protection against rust. For unparalleled stability and durability, it is supported by 9 thickened metal legs and 14 metal slats, ensuring a reliable foundation for your mattress. Maximizing your living space, the 12-inch clearance under the bed provides ample storage for off-season items, helping you maintain a clean and organized bedroom. To ensure a peaceful sleeping environment, the frame is equipped with EVA silent strips and non-slip foot pads, both designed to eliminate noise from friction and movement. A key highlight is the innovative interlocking design of the metal components, which significantly simplifies the assembly process. This smart engineering allows for a quick, hassle-free setup that can be easily managed by a single person, delivering a superior user experience from start to finish.

Took a bit to put together, but looks great once all done. Nice and sturdy bed frame - would purchase again. Lisa. Elk Rapids, MI. Fri Sep 25 2026

This came in a bunch of pieces but is very sturdy. Hardest part was getting it all out of the box. Exactly what I wanted and a high enough headboard-where you can see the metal still poking out with all my decor pillows. Even with a thick platform bed and mattress! Very sturdy and doesn’t creak! Wayfair had the best price on this beauty, and I’m able to pay it out! Thanks!. Dawn Gardenhire . Oklahoma. Wed Jul 01 2026

Update your bedroom with this platform bed frame and all its traditional charm – plus, some modern practicality. It's crafted from steel in a classic silhouette and comes with wooden slats that eliminate the need for a box spring. The design features an elegant slatted headboard showcasing vintage-inspired turns details and a softly arching top, paired with a matching footboard to complete the look. What's more, the 10" under-bed clearance means there's also plenty of room for a couple storage bins.

I did a lot of research regarding the weight capacity of metal beds. We have a king size black beauty rest mattress that works best with box springs so the total mattress weight has to be around 200lbs. My husband and I combined are just under 400 lbs. so I wanted a minimum of 700 lbs to more than cover. Also my husband is 6’2” and I was concerned about his feet getting caught in the footboard. We tested it without the box springs because the bed doesn’t require those. He didn’t have any issues but we ended up adding the box springs anyway. Now the bed with the springs goes higher than the footboard. The mattress height alone is 14 inches and box springs add about 4 inches. The bed frame is heavy at just under 103 pounds so that was important. I didn’t want a lightweight frame. The decor on the head and footboard is beautiful, gives an antique vibe like the bed my grandmother had but no squeaking. We have slept on this for just under a week and there is no sound. We were able to put this together is about twenty minutes. The instructions are clear with numbers for connecting pieces that slid into place easily. We did use the rubber mallet included to secure each piece. Love the bed, very happy with the sturdiness and look.. Linda. Kansas City, MO. Fri Sep 11 2026

This 12 inch to 18 inch high metal platform bed transforms bedrooms. Its ample clearance hides clutter—bins, sweaters, toys—keeping floors clear. Reinforced steel stays silent, even for midnight moves or kids’ play. The sleek matte black frame blends with any decor; add a headboard/footboard via pre-drilled holes. No box spring needed—slats support mattresses, saving space and money. More than a bed: a solution for chaos, noise, and style shifts.

Me encantó muy resistente y duradera. Perla. US. Mon Aug 17 2026

This bed is very solid and sturdy! The assembly was easy but time consuming as I put it together myself. It took a few hours. My only complaint is there was a small bubble of paint on one of the finials that flaked off leaving the metal underneath exposed. It had a bit of rust on it. Some touch up paint should solve the problem. This bed is beautiful and I’m very happy with it!. Lorraine. Maine. Mon Sep 28 2026

With 3500 LBS weight capacity and no box spring needed, it's a cost-effective and durable choice for bedrooms, guest rooms, and vacation rentals.

Me and my husband put the bed together and we got it done in about an hour. Once together we realized that we needed a little more support for our foam mattress because the metal slats were not wide and had to much space between them to give good support. We just put the cardboard the frame came in on top of the frame and it worked great. The frame is very sturdy and i needed that support being over 200 lbs. It has plenty of space underneath for storage. It’s a great buy for the price.. Carolyn. US. Fri Aug 28 2026
