This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy. Different in a good way! This is exactly the look I wanted, and I'm thrilled the cream color part is NOT painted wood. Its linear versus L-shape placement options are appealing too. We chose the former for this spot but like knowing that can change. One caution: assembly is time consuming and you’d better study and follow the pictorial instructions, not just wing it!
