These feel delicate but not so much that they'll break if you look at them. They are light to hold but they have some heft in the middle and bottom which makes them stable on the table. The bowls and mugs are surprisingly decent in size and the plates, even the smaller plates, ended up being much larger than I had imagined based on the specs, which is good. Their color is true to the pics and pure white, and they're decorated with a subtle pattern which I didn't even notice first before buying. It's pretty minimal so if you're going for plain, this'll still work. Last but not least, these are packaged carefully. I was impressed by the amount of bubble wrap and cardboard which kept everything safe. I've searched for some time for a new dinnerware set that would suit my needs. I found this Mikasa and fell in love with the style and color; in addition, I was familiar with the Mikasa brand, having had several of their products previously. Overall, I'm very pleased with the set. The only issue that I've noticed, is that after several uses, the white areas are showing dark scratch marks from knife use; no indent type scratching, just pencil-like lines.
