I purchased two of these fans. One for the living room and one for the home office. I love the look of them! The only issue I had was that due to their close proximity using the remote turns both of them onoff etc. this is true for both the light and the fan. We purchased the wall switch as well for each to attempt to fix the issue however, the wall switch causes the same problem. Overall, it doesn’t bother us much and is worth it for the beauty of the pieces. Two things to be aware of, 1.) fan only comes with a remote. If you think you will lose it, purchase the wall switch, 2.) be sure to read the angle measurements, our office ceiling was too sloped and we had to purchase an adapter kit from the manufacturer. We LOVE this fan!! Easy install--it has a hanger on the base plate so you don't have to hold it while wiring!! Genius. We bought the wall control separately on Amazon to control from the wall (we had to slice the cover to fit on the wall, but it is ok). The remote works great as well, although it is VERY big, maybe so it doesn't get lost? Anyway, the fan is quiet, no shaking, no buzzing. We bought the halogen for the light output which is about 100watt. Looks great with the cheap Westinghouse medallion we bought as you can see in the picture. The fan is completely silent. I went through two other AC motor fans that made an annoying motor hum in the room this was installed and translated into the room above. It moves quite a bit of air and is very clean looking. The light is bright but I didn't really buy it for that as I have other lighting in the room I use. I may look into adding the wall control..
