The bed looks exactly as pictured online. Assembly is tedious intakes quite some time. One thing to note is the shelf on either side is not actually Wood. It is some type of hard material but it is covered with a padded vinyl wood grain look. The instructions were easy to follow on getting this put together. Definitely was a lot faster with two people. I thought the headboard might be taller, so I was a little bit disappointed in that.
