I wanted a unique, contemporary mailbox. This is it. BUT, read the measurements. The actual enclosed area of the box is about 1/3 smaller than the standard box. And this is a rear mounting box. (Most boxes are centered on the post.) If you use your existing center post, the box will extend about 6" further toward the street and it will be lower. I chose to add 6" to the back of our post. See attached picture--the white and green posts are new. (We live in Florida where houses, mailboxes and front doors are whimsical colors.
