First issue: One box does not cover 54 sq. feet. It is more along the lines of 15 sq. feet. It is close to five dollars a square foot at 15 square feet instead of a little over a dollar for 54 square feet. Second issue: Flooring is shipped in original packing which does protect it from damage from shipping. Only two of my planks were not chipped or cracked. I absolutely love this product. I have never used a peal and stick tile before but this is so easy to work with. No tile cutting machine and the back adhesive is so strong. I tried to lift it and it was on super well that I couldn't move it without ruining the wall so I will have to touch up a small part with grout. I did use a brayer roller to press the tile down after applying them to the wall. I did have to prep my wall where I removed the original tiles to fill in where the tile pulled away some of the drywall when removing the existing tiles. I just mud and sanded those spots flat before adding the new tiles. Make sure you have it clean well before you add the new tiles It's so nice that you don't need to grout it after applying it. It can be cut with an X-act-o knife. You have to score it several times but if you have ever done any drywall repair it is similar to that where you score and snap it and then cut through the seam. It's made of a composite material like laminate flooring but thin. Very durable. It comes in black or white sheets and they are not quite a foot square. I will caulk around the edges after I paint the wall. It says you can use it in bathrooms and kitchen and that it is heat and water resistant. I used it above my utility sink in my wash room. Love this peel and stick wood. Product says it comes in varied lengths. All my pieces were the same size except 2. It sticks so well that you cannot reposition it so make sure it is where u want it first time. We rented a miter saw and it worked perfect. The first board we cut splinter on the edge.
