[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I’m an instant fan of these and only regret that I only got one because I want them for every window now. The install is deceptively easy, just mounting the brackets, two options for the top or side. I’m super impressed that it’s lightweight and sturdy. Quality of the top fabric is textured and the backing fabric is clean white and quite opaque so it doesn’t let heat through easily. There is a small usb c to a cord that plugs into the top right for charging, easily detached when fully charged. It only needs to be attached for charging. The only downside here is that the cord isn’t very long so you will need an outlet right below to reach it or get an extender. That’s not a huge deal for most people who have every kind of cord lying around waiting for the right job but a heads-up for those who do not. It came partially charged so I could test it before a full charge. The remote only has arrows which don’t immediately indicate what is up or down to anyone who isn’t used to the wireless signal button meaning up but it’s a sleek remote. I’ll likely wall mount it so I don’t lose it leaving it lying around. It’s light enough that removable mounting is doable. I didn’t realize it was charged when I hit the down button; it was so quiet coming down that I didn’t realize it was until the room got darker. Really surprised the motor was this quiet! And it came down at a speed that some might consider slow but I think it’s perfect; gives your eyes time to adjust to the lower light. And it’s a perfect blocker. You don’t see even a hint of light coming through. Overall, I’m really impressed with the design and function and it makes my home feel a little classier.
