This is beautiful and arrived very quickly. It does hold a large size hose with no problem. The only thing is the knob on the top of the lid was not finished correctly. We have the older version of this hose reel (the one with slats rather than the wicker look) and wanted to get a second for the front of the house as it’s so good. Unfortunately the old model appears to have been discontinued or is only available at an astronomical price so we went with this wicker look one. It’s the same size and weight and works great. Our old reel had to have a heavy brick on top to stop it moving when we pull the hose but this one is sufficiently heavy it doesn’t need that. Delivered quickly, no damage/dents, it is metal. Love the look and the fact no messy hose all over the garden bed. I also like the center pole for wrapping the hose around just a good guide. It has NO LID which is very disappointing and none that I could find that could be purchased separately, which is why only 4 stars. This hose pot is “metal” and not copper. It doesn’t feel cheap. It is strong and sturdy with drain holes in the bottom. Also has a hole in the side for the hose to enter the pot.
