The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. Exceeded my expectations for the price. King size was a fairly easy assembly, 2 persons under an hr. Delivery was quick regardless of the 2 separate boxes arriving within days of each other. Making this bed is easy, our mattress is a Saatva Firm at 14”. Mattress drops nicely and fills the platform leaving a small gap to tuck sheets. Mattresses nowadays are very heavy but this bed allows picking up the corners without throwing out your back. Bed stays in place with no squeaking or cracking sounds. Ours arrived flawlessy. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. Putting it together was very straightforward and easy. The only issue was two of the bars didn’t fully asking and I couldn’t screw the supportive beam in bc the screw wasn’t long enough. Luckily I had a spare screw that was longer so it all worked out.
