I like it! Not as good quality as my first one. The complaint that I have is that they put a sticker on the trash can that needs to be removed to use and the sticky stuff is still on the trash can and hard to remove which messes up the look! I’m extremely pleased with this elegant and sturdy stainless steel trash can!! I am using it in my Hair salon. It has a step on lever that opens the lid so I don’t have to touch anything, which is very helpful when disposing if chemical Supplies ie- foils, perm wraps etc.. The lid has a system in place that closes very slowly so it doesn’t slam shut. If I were to change anything, it would be to have the lid open more. I’d guesstimate it opens at about a 70 degree angle. I feel 90 degrees would make it a little easier to deposit the cut hair out of the dust pan. I use a long handled dust pan that is a larger size than the typical dust pan. But that’s a personal view. Easy to clean. I use a little windex .. shines right up! Really like this trash and recycling can! It fits our space well. The noise when opening and closing is a little louder than expected but it’s not a big issue. It takes 3x D batteries so we hope it’ll last! The labels are magnetic so you can switch sides any time you want. Note that there isn’t another “liner” plastic can inside (like the SimpleHuman brand) but it has 2 plastic rings that would keep the bags in place. It’s a great price compared to the $200+ SimpleHuman cans! Very satisfied for our need! Update: It's been exactly 6 months since I placed batteries for this and I haven't had to change them yet!. Not my favorite. The look is sleek, don’t get me wrong, I do like the look...but I really can’t stand the motorized lid. I would highly recommend getting a can that just had a push pedal that lifted the lid. We cook a lot and trying to peel potatoes or constantly throwing scraps into the garbage is annoying when the lid automatically shuts on you “mid-peel” after a few seconds. The lid and the plastic piece that supposedly holds the trash bag in place isn’t very durable and the plastic piece is constantly moving or gets off the track. Most the time, the lid won’t even close all the way because of it. I don’t actually understand the point of it. My bag always sinks with it in place anyhow. For those that like to recycle, this is a handy, great looking Recycle can. As you can see from the pictures, this is really a step up from the brown paper bag that we were using for our inside recycle to then take out tot the large recycle can =) It looks better, works better, and holds more. The only reason for 4 stars is because in part of the description it talks about having a "lid" that opens when you waive your hand, however in the pictures, it shows the unit w/o a lid.....upon receiving it, it does NOT have that "lid" that opens; it is already open and stays open. I think this would be a bigger issue if being used as a garbage can (stinky) but not so much if using for a recycle can. A nice noted touch is it comes with a couple 13 gallon garbage bags.. Melissa.
