The swing can't function with the bottom line on...but the cargo net is a struggle if it doesn't have the bottom line. If you look closely, the kiddo swinging has to somehow climb up onto the swing, then the swing has to be high enough that they can clear the bottom line when "pumping". We have decided to leave the bottom line off so the swing can function and we hung large stones from the cargo net to keep it somewhat secure. The QUALITY is amazing. Just gotta get around the function of the pieces included... Also, not ideal for the kids pictured. It serves an older kid better. Used many times this past summer. Excellent quality, thick material. Keep it clean, in good condition, stored well when not in use and I have no doubt it will last years for a fraction of the cost of equivalent rentals. Works well wet or dry, with no water we usually put some padding in the pool area for the kids to land on. Commercially rated and fine for adults too. So fun! My little one has a blast on this. Our only complaint is that the main line is not a green color so that it blends a bit better with the trees.
