First issue: One box does not cover 54 sq. feet. It is more along the lines of 15 sq. feet. It is close to five dollars a square foot at 15 square feet instead of a little over a dollar for 54 square feet. Second issue: Flooring is shipped in original packing which does protect it from damage from shipping. Only two of my planks were not chipped or cracked. So far I am very impressed. Bought the grey scale for our basement. Product looks great, sticks nicely, easy to work with. My 13 year old and I laid about 140sqft in just under 3 hours. My recommendations are to definitely do a good job of prepping the surface. We did a serious scrape and vacuum. Then mopped with simple green and then laid down am adhesion primer.
